Changing light bulbs in a fendt 700

Postby chrisathybrow » Tue Nov 13, 2007 6:21 pm

I have just bought a 2007 fendt 700umf that has "too many lights". Some of the small lights around the pelmet are blown, I had a quick go at changing the bulbs but could not remove the lights.

Any ideas how it is done. I guess it is simple when you know how.

Many Thanks,

Chris

On my 2003 Platin the bulbs were bayonet type, not screw in. Push in towards the holder and turn anticlockwise.
My present Hobby has similar but they are rope lights.

The bulbs are not that simple, in the pelmet they have a light which looks like a halogen type and a sliver trim. I think you need to remove the cover and replace the bulb (only think) but I have tried a few ways to remove the light and it doesn't come out. I do not want to force it and break something, so I am being patient and asking the question hoping somebody else has had the same frustration.

There is a similar one in the drinks cabinet that I cannot get out ??

Many Thanks,

Chris

Sorry Chris.
Mine were just a row of bare lampholders around the underside of the pelmet.

If you don't get any other replies, post a close up digital picture in the gallery so we can see the light.

Spring ring around outer edge of glass holds lamp in place. Use thin blade to spring ring out, remove glass then pull halogen bulb straight out (two pins). Page 05-7 Hobby Owner Manual. Replacement 10 watt bulbs available IKEA ( 2 for 99p), ASDA and LIDl.

Many Thanks Beejay, I know the sort you mean (I have them in my shower-room) but I am not sure these are the same. I will take a closer look when next at the van and see if this is the case and if so, replace the bulbs. Many thanks for the advice.
Dissapointing thing now is site where I keep my van is closed until 4th of March......the long cold winter !!

Cheers,

Chris
