We are in desperate need of a retreat as live above our business with 2 small children. Have found an ideal site nearby to have a caravan and as we do not intend to tow are very interested in a LMC Dominant, 5 berth as have read a lot about these and Hobby's as a being good space and build especially with 2 boys.

From reading I understand that a 3500 kg weight vehicle is required to tow, therefore the seller is going to tow to campsite.

The LMC we are looking at is a 2000 5 berth in good condition for £3500. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also will I be greeted with open arms at campsite or told to go, as have large German Van??? as others have mentioned . . .

Thank you . . . .

If the van is a "dry van " with no water and toilet then I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole..They are usually ex travellers vans and worth very little secondhand...Don't take my word for it, contact some of your local caravan dealers and ask them how much they would give you in part exchange..most of them won't even give a price and if one does it will be well low
Cheers

Dear Hobbynut

Thank you for your reply, I've been reading alot of other subjects and yours have been really interesting, especially as I was looking at a hobby also.

Yes, this van is a wet van and seems to be a very good price. Fingers crossed. Have put a deposit, van to be delivered to site and payment settled on delivery.

Hope all goes well . . . .

Jo
