For the Ultraheat upgrade a kit is available, (element, control box and thermostat).
The kit comes with full instructions but the heat exchanger has to come out to do the job.

I am in Southern France at present, so away from my paperwork and other info.

If you do a Google/yahoo search for Truma, Germany you can download the installation manual to assess whether or not you will feel comfortable doing the job.

Search for the best price for the upgrade, I believe that I paid £137.00.

Solar panel:

You will need a panel and aluminium angle to mount the panel on the roof with Sikaflex adhesive, a good solar controller such as a Morningstar Sunsaver.

You need to drill a hole through the roof to allow the cable to pass through.

Then sundries such as wire, fuse holders etc.

If you decide to take this further, then send me a PM and I will respond when I return to the UK in Mid April.[/b]

NB. I have since added a Dometic B2200 roof mounted air conditioner.
Hobby 540WLU, 2005.
Knaus 570TL Eurostar, 1995, permanently sited in France.
Toyota Landcruiser Amazon 4.2 VX, 2003.
Toyota Yaris, 1.4 Turbodiesel, 2007
