Luxury in Bed!!

Postby Doc » Tue Jan 10, 2006 12:22 am

Posted this in the Rally section, but it's more appropriate here.

Took my son and his fiancée to that glory hole that is IKEA!! While waiting for them to come to a decision, I wandered round the bedding section and hey guys and gals! . . . .
. . . .
You can buy a motorized slatted bed-base that lifts you up to a sitting position AND can also raise your legs (independantly) for. . . . £126, 80cms x200cms!!! This is the size of the permanent single beds in Hobbys, I think.

It would be dead easy to replace the base of the individual single beds in UL models etc. with these bases. Just press a button on the controller to sit yourself up in bed to watch telly and/or receive the cup of tea/beer/wine presented by a loving spouse! :P
OK the last bit does read like a fantasy novel!

Come on Chubbs and Roy et al., who's going to have it fitted first?
Cheers, Doc.

Roy, you are now much nearer to IKEA why didn't you spot this good IKEA? We must meet instead of passing on the ether. Beejay

Yes Beejay,

I first spotted these in IKEA in Toulouse.
The problem is that with all my mods I have hit payload limit, I've even had to sell my Powrtouch mover!
Also, I couldn't get away with on for myself, Wendy would demand one....all these weighty motors!!

Unfortunately, I am too close to IKEA, with IKEA and the new ASDA and soon the new Dons stadium, I shall soon be a prisoner in my own house.

IKEA had 100,00 visitors in the first week, heaven help us when the Bowl concerts start again.
