We're very pleased with both Roy - and the Cabby is the best van we've had to date, it makes the best compromises on comforst space etc to our needs.

As I say though - we WILL be avoiding Brentwood at all costs in future!!

Been trying to source 185/65R14 90N tyres all morning - just had a call from our local tyre place they've got two coming in tomorrow for me. £100 all in.

Yes we are on the right as you go in,the Hobby 540UK Prestige. We were in Abridge on a great farm 5 min's from where we live but the farm has recently been sold so we went back to Robert who we were with a few years ago.I'll look out for you...I'm sure I won't miss you by the looks of it !

Will have a look tomorrow when I take the wheels over to refit - that's going to be a fun job - I don't think!!!

We used to be over at Upminster, at Hacton Park farm, only 10 mins from home, but they have a strict no T/A rule due to Pikey's so we had to find another home.

Which way out do you go?? Do you go via Brentwood town centre and those rotten mini-roundabouts or up the other way towards the A414/M11??

Its a difficult choice but if we are going towards Dartford we have to take the High street route which I don't like doing.

Came back that way today after re-fitting the wheels with new tyres. Apart from traffic it's not too bad compared to the way in esp. if you go straight over the double roundabouts and follow the A128 down to either the A127 or A13.

Still don't think I like it though...... :(

Its not ideal but it is a good storage site and the nearest to me now.
Hope the tyre fitting went ok.

Absolutely no argument from us as to the quality of the site!! :D

I think Brentwood council could do with going back to school to learn how to lay roads out though... Saw a 40' artic come through the same spot we lost the tyres and how he managed to avoid demolishing the bollards is a mystery.

Wheel change went OK - hard work getting the jack under on the side with only one wheel on but I now have the two new tyres on the front axle and the two original tyres on the rear axle. Off on a Rally Friday night so will need to recheck the tightness of the nuts after the first few miles....

What weight is given on the VIN plate?
If it is 3500Kgs then you would be illegal, if it is 3501 Kgs or more then you are OK.

Many US vehicles imported into the UK have a plated GVW put on them here of 3500Kgs regardless of the GVW given to them in the US.
