Hello all i am looking for a fridge for my Hobby Prestige 650 as it would appear mine is u/s last year i had a new element fitted to this unit but now the freezer part is not working.I have done all the usual checks but still cannot get it to work any help will be gratefully recieved or could someone tell me where vi could get a s/h one it is a Electrolux RM4270

If you are a member of the Caravan Club, in the back of their Site Directory/Members Handbook you will find a list of 'Caravan Breakers' that might be able to help with your Fridge Replacemet albeit Secondhand.

You have no chance of getting one from a caravans breakers.I have been looking into Hobby breakers for the last 10 years and it's a waste of time and effort..if you look on ebay parts for Hobby's do appear usually sold by sellers called...waynevanman and blackpoolebelle123..However you may see full caravans sold by either Lowe caravans, pickett2005 and sometimes Freddyjohn, they all operate out of Ingatestone in Essex and although they do not actually advertise spares, if you contact them they may well have what you want...The RM 4270 was in common use from around 1997 to about 2000..If i come a cross one i will let you know

Hello Ciderman,

The following Caravan Breakers has an Electrolux RM4200 fridge for sale at £175.

Not sure if it's the model you want but 'Seek and yea shall find' as they say.

As the Fridges are Not made by Hobby then you should be able to get one that was in a Non Hobby van from an English Caravan Breakers.
