Hi all, New to caravans but want to buy a hobby to live in full time. Where is the best place to buy one where i wont be ripped off and what models if any should i avoid. I will only have about £5000 to spend. Dont want a dry one though. I live in the licolnshire area. If possibal i would like to buy one from a dealer rather than a traveller.

Dry ones aren't worth a light..They have no secondhand value...Normal caravan dealers don't deal in Hobby's as they appear to be frightened of them..i would go for a private sale but make sure that the year of the van is correct..there are many Hobby's out there being sold by people who claim they are newer than they actually are..Have a look on Autotrader website, there are always loads for sale on there

Forgot to mention..watch out for the so called dealers some of them are the sort that you wouldn't buy a life belt from them if you were drowning..They oprerate from dodgey wire mesh compounds at the side of the road and all they sell is ex travellers vans..Well hammered and parts not working or missing..They are quite obvious when you see them!!!

i have a hobby 700uk 2003 for sale with leather inerior and shower end bedroom etc, i have owned it for 4 years with no problems log book etc. receipt of original purchase, sited in north yorkshire, sleeps 5, can send pictures
