refix extractor fan housing

Postby nigel129 » Fri Jul 17, 2009 8:58 am

Hi all, the extractor fan facia on my 495 ufe seems to be dropping on the rhs just above the electric socket. does anyone know how it comes away from the two narrow shelves(with doors) above it so i can try to refix it. Im pretty sure that its coming down due to plugs being pulled and pushed in over the years.
Idd also like to know if its ok to increase the fuse sizes inside the wardrobe from 10amp to 15amp. Been here on a site with 16amp post but the van has tripped a few times and not the post outside.
thanks

Isn't there a cover plate IN the cupboard above the fah after you remove the trunking?
Re fuses these are MCBs which come in 10 then 16 amp. I changed mine for double pole, single module versions. This allows four MCBs to be fitted in the original space. Two are wired to the original wiring and two to new wiring for U.K. sockets around the van. That way none of the wiring is taking a larger load than it was designed for but I can spread the appliances over more sockets..

This is a wonderfully written article. You must have done a lot of research in this area. You have made this topic easy to read.
