I say it’s not a bad deal if the van is in very good condition ,..I would say that the van is worth between five and a half to six grand, that without seeing it,. The mover is over a thousand pounds worth new, but make sure it is a double one, that is there is a motor on each wheel, . the awning new is another grand, so now your down to six and a half grand for the van… if you can knock him down £500, better still your now near to my original valuation . but as the mover ect are now second hand I would offer £7500 ....
On the caution side, make sure it is all ok, and that it is not a stolen van, there are a few about, and they sell cheaply, check if its “CRIS” registered “(it may not be as Hobby do not register them as a matter of course )” and that the seller has all the owners documents, and the chassis numbers are correct, if you make a note of the number , Ambergate caravans can usually tell you who bought it first and sometimes a little history of it, especially if it has been serviced ect. If all ok then the price of £7500 in my opinion is about right, remember this is not a touring van, to tow it you need a commercial vehicle, something over 3501 kilo, and all that it entails, it is for a permanent site. Also make enquiries about insuring it before you buy,. They can be difficult…….. good luck ,and let us know how you go on…
