Alarm that rings your mobile when alarm is triggered

Postby scuder » Wed Feb 04, 2009 10:48 am

I have just joined this forum trying to get some feedback on whether caravanners think this is a saleable alarm into the caravan market. I have been importing these alarms into this country for 6 months now and have been fitting them into various machines like cigarette and drinks machines the alarm is about the size of a small mobile phone and has a motion detector , a vibration sensor and a noise sensor, when an alarm is detected the alarm rings you silently and you can listen in, (you can also listen in at any time) also as its using mobile phone technology you can track it at any time, the alarm just needs a simm card (pay as you go) it can be switched off and on , and the sensitivity set via a text message. I sell these between £200-£250 depending on how the pound is at the time, is it worth persuing the caravan market or do you think its too expensive?????

Hi Nigel thanks for the offer, but i know they work as sold over 500 last year, but most where fitted to plant hire and other machines , but just wanted to see what people thought of the price , i would of thought £200 was not a lot for a discrete alarm that rings you when somebody entered the caravan, i have heard of a lot people have had caravans stolen this year never to been seen again, an alarm is great but nobody ever listens to them but this one rings you silently and then you can listen in , and if they did steal the caravan you can track it , i thought it would be great for the caravan market but must admit I have asked the question on a few forums and caravanners don't seem to want to spend the money, and have not given me many positive feedbacks at all.

There is little benefit from spending £200 on an alarm. Some insurance companies give a discount but they are usually the more expensive ones and the discount is small. As far as tracking goes it would need a further cost to be able to track a mobile phone and several companies offer this, inclusive, with their unit.

Entourage said in court papers that he suffered a concussion, a ruptured eardrum, a burst blood vessel in his eye and a torn rotator cuff in the July 2005 scuffle with Iverson's security detail. The altercation occurred when the basketball star's entourage attempted to take over the bar's VIP section, according to court papers. No criminal charges were filed.

Piven, the Emmy-friendly star of Entourage, exited the production in December, 10 weeks early, citing health concerns related to mercury poisoning, which Entourage said he got from eating fish. In the statement, the producers noted that Entourage have requested "a wide range of relevant information" from Entourage about his "alleged illness," including "medical records and documentation of Mr. Piven's activities both during and after the run of the show." They also proposed that all information supplied be "subject to a strict confidentiality agreement."

NCIS Spinoff Casts CSI Alumna, Two Others
The ensemble for CBS' planned NCIS spinoff continues to flesh out. Not long after it was reported that Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J are circling two lead roles, three other characters have been cast.
Louise Lombard, who played CSI'sSofia Curtis for three seasons, has landed what is considered the series' female lead: Clara, a former major in the military police turned investigator.
The Hollywood Reporter also reports that Peter Cambor (Notes from the Underbelly) will play Nate, a quick-witted operational psychologist.
Just asNCISwas born of a JAG episode, this latest offshoot will kick off as an episode of NCIS.
