Wheel sizes

Postby jimbost777 » Tue Oct 10, 2006 11:14 am

I'm due to pick up a 520TMF from Germany in a few weeks. Given that it'll be a long drive back with a couple of stops, I intend to take a wheel clamp out with me. Anyone know the sizes of the 520TMF wheel and tyre? ..... or any generic info' on Hobby tourer wheel sizes would do, as I've struck a complete blank so far in trying to get info' on wheels.

My 540 has 185/60/14 tyres.

It is also worth buying a 19mm RobStop hitchlock whilst you are there, you should get a discount when collecting your van.

Thanks very much Roy. You mention a 19mm Robstop ..... I'm a bit ignorant about Winterhoff hitchlocks, and didn't know there were different sizes.

Before I go over I was going to buy a WS 3000+ Robstop from an English agent recommended by Winterhoff (who, like all the German firms I've been in touch with, are very helpful, and send back pronto email replies in perfect English!).

The earlier RobStops were 16mm and easier to defeat than the 19mm.
Both fit the 3000 hitch.
When I bought mine in Germany the 19mm did not seem to be available in the UK but this was 17 months ago.

Thanks again Roy. I'll make sure it's the 19mm.
