STOLEN FENDT & HOBBY 4TH MARCH 2009 EAST YORKSHIRE

Postby axeandy » Thu Mar 05, 2009 7:33 pm

BEWARE THEY ARE ON THE PROWL
This was a very very organised gang who wanted specific models, Mine the FENDT 700 TMF 1008 Model was stolen last night as well as a Hobby 700 2007 from our site in east yorkshire.
There ALKO hitclocks broke, chains broke around wheels, wheel locks removed!!!

The site has secure barriers operated with key cards but there is a farmres track running around the back of the site! There was a 5ft high much / mud pile which they dug out and used pavers / fence panels as a ramp, they even removed a tree and 5mph sign so they could hitch the vans on 2 stolen cars, 1 a estate peugot and 1 a 4x4 Nissan. The caravans were hitched up and pulled over the site over the muck pile and accross a farmers field to a bypass at Leven / Brandsburton.

This happend around 12:30 to 1am...and thank god for Police patrols in the area. A patrol heading down the bypass saw the fendt with mud hanging off the back being towed and so pulled the car over..the other sped off and was cought in Beverley . What a result all that hard work digging cutting and they got only a few miles away and got arrested! Police have addresses from Leeds & Doncaster for these people and the houses were getting searched this evening!!!!!

So beware FENDT & HOBBY owners they are travelling around looking for easy targets. My friend who has the pitch next door to me has the same FENDT700 and he removed the actual A Frame some months ago. we feel sure that if this had not been done then 2 Fendt would have gone.

Andy by the way my friends van without the A Frame is owned by a sergant within the force ! i may be posting names and addresses of the criminals if i can get hold of them... picked on the wrong site this time boys theres 4 of us police men on site!!!

iF YOU KEEP YOUR VAN ON SITE REMOVE THE A FRAME

Thanks to Humberside police for the work and recovery good work boys and not forgetting the girls!

You have got the wrong bloke, we have never spoken, I am not a Hobby dealer, merely an owner..it's just that Turners at Catfoss got broken into 3 times and Hobby's got stolen so I had to take mine out and store it somewhere else in winter..I used to have it seasonally sited at Skipsea Sands..it got broken into on there and my mates van was actually pinched from there..he is a geordie and had a few football club stickers on his van. We think the thieves thought he was on holiday from Newcastle and so the thickos advertised it for sale in the Hull Daily Mail which is how they got caught..person responsible Patrick Maughan from the Tylers Park gypsy camp in Malton..Full story on link below

Glad they caught them..They are a pain in the backside, hope they go down..It's happening all over the country..About 40 Hobby's and Fendts were recovered from the residential park in Spain known as Camping Villamar..It is as you said an organised crime ring that are doing this..I have made posts about it on here and other sites for years...They come with petrol powered cutters, gas cutting gear, a 4x4 to pull things over rough ground..have you tried acouple of other websites like www.hobby-owners-club.co.uk
www.caravanning4u.co.uk

All these sites work very well alongside each other
