Possibly buying a Hobby --Help

Postby grahwill » Thu Sep 08, 2005 2:57 am

Hi
My wife and I are looking at a new Hobby 495ufe. Now we have never owned or toured before but have had caravan holidays(through friends) so we are confident we shall enjoy them. However when it comes to being practical I'm afraid I am an idiot(so my wife says). I cannot take in voltages etc so my question is What type of questions should I be looking to ask a dealer to stop me being taken advantage of. Also what kind of things should I be buying to make life easier when touring. Many thanks
Graham

One thing you should check is that the caravan's max weight is no more than 85% of the car's kerbweight, as a salesman will tell you anything just to get his commision.
Also if your wife thinks your an idiot, BUY A NEW WIFE :D :D :D

Good luck

Grahwill,

Did you ever buy that 495uFe ? I am also thinking of buying one and wonder what your experience was. Any problems with insurance ?
