New Hobby 400SB Excellent Easy

:D We have just returned from a month's holiday in the South of France collecting a new Hobby 400 SB, at a very competitive price. in Zeeland on the first day! Can highly recommend purchases from Hans Rijn at de Smokkelhoek Caravancentrum in Kapelle, Netherlands. He has been excellent throughout the purchase and for introducing us to an excellent campsite den Inkel in the vicinity for the first night in our new van. Even gave us a bottle of de Smokkelhoek Cava to christen the caravan! With the opening of the Westerschelde tunnel to Zeeland last summer his centre is about 2 hours from Calais.
No worry about continental sockets as we spend our holidays in France anyway and buy their products such as fans. Anyway you can buy a lot of travel adapters with the savings we made from UK prices!

New Hobby

John R,

Sounds you had a very fruitful trip; glad you enjoy the 'van and the buying experience; sounds good.
Folks are usually a bit nervous about it at first, wondering if they are really going to enjoy their purchase; not heard of one who has regretted it yet.

As a matter of interest, why did you buy in Holland?

If you can manage next w/e at Kingsbury Water Park, just 'phone the site (no. in the '1st Hobby Rally' topic) and mention the Hobby Owners Club.

Hope to meet up soon,
Cheers, Doc.

Hi Doc, :D
Collected our caravan from Dortmund Germany 19/07/2004, took eldest grandchild with us, had a weeks holiday in Dortmund, stayed at a site booked by Peter Hexel for us had everything for a tourist, it was great along side the river with a great pub and restraunt which we made good use of and as usual my husband had to buy grandson 16yr old larger which he thought was brill but not his parents, my daughter, got told off  when finally arrived home as usual.

We decided to buy all new electric goods (no need for plug adaptors) for caravan while in Dortmund from Walmart 'WoW! dirt cheap compared to UK also purchased a great little microwave/grill 850w for £28.00 and used it instead of the hob if not using the pub restaurant so caravan stayed clean all holiday.

The only downfall of the holiday was getting lost in Dortmund  it is so vast an area, we have since purchased sat navigation system for the car a Navman 630v2 so we can find our way around next year when we return to Dortmund for the caravan annual service, in the meantime we are putting it to use here in UK.

The caravan is great and the autark package and gas boiler work A1 as we stopped on our way home in a lorry stop-over had a fry-up in the caravan and a hot shower which was really appreciated in Belgium.

Hope all of you who have lately been to collect your new caravans had a great time and no problems with your new caravans just like me. Happy Hobbying to all.

Regards Pearl.
