If you are thinking of buying a Hobby abroad now, then be aware that they are starting to be discounted, as the end of the 2004 season approaches. {When I picked my 'van up from Joeressens at the end of July 2001 they were writing out the discount labels on the 'vans they had left!!}
Also, at the end of August there is the largest Caravan Show in Europe in Dusseldorf see http://www.caravan-salon.de where a number of Brits go to pick up bargain Caravans and Motorhomes.
I’ve just retrieved a number of ‘contacts’, and dealers etc., that were in an old ‘Favourites’ list from a couple of years back. I’ve attempted to up-date some of the web-sites as some appear to have changed; I hope folks find them useful.
Hobby themselves now have a new ‘English’ section (at least to me) on http://www.hobby-caravan.de/en/ , I wonder why!
There’s a useful site of the German ‘Camping-Cars-Caravans’ magazine at http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... ie%3DUTF-8
http://www.wohnwagen-lohmann.com/eng/index.html has a translation page of technical terms.
http://www.caravan-fraenkel.de/
http://www.joeressen.de the dealer I, and several others, have used.
http://www.hobbyland-hexel.de is a dealer (Peter Hexel) that others have used and usually has very keen prices.

The nearest foreign Hobby dealer is http://www.decuyper.com/ at Poperinge in Belgium 10kms from Ypres, if you want to combine a booze cruise with a Hobby-look. SHUT Mondays.
Happy Hobby Hunting.
