German Caravan Show

Postby Nigel » Tue Aug 17, 2004 1:07 pm

Hi Everyone

I am looking at purchasing a new caravan (Actually our first one) and have narrowed it down to a Hobby or TEC, and have been told that I should go to the German Caravan Show at the need of this month as this is the place to get deals.

Have any of you been and is the info I have been given correct.

I was told that as the stands are manned by both manufacturers and dealers that these dealers with 2004 models in stock may be willing to discount in order to clear them ready for the 2005 models.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes it is apparently true. All the dealers are there, when we were in Germany last month picking up our new Hobby from Joeressens, FJ was away at the Hobby factory with all the other dealers picking up his "Hobby clothes" for the show. If you contact some of the German dealers by phone or e-mail you will probably drive a good bargain without attending the show. But it sounds like a good craik, go for it. :D and good luck

Dusseldorf Caravan Show

Hello Everyone,

I am going to the Caravan Show on the 2nd & 3rd of September 2004. I went last year and it is really great i would recommend it ( cheap too)

I fly out from Stansted £.90p + taxes etc ( £20+ ) ( Ryanair.com )
Teransfers 12 Euros
night in 4* hotel in Dusseldorf £ 44.00p Twin room
Transfers 12 Euros
Return flight to standsted £0.99p + taxes etc ( £20+ )

All in all I am sure you can see it is very cheap to get there and back.

As for dealers, they do some great deals at the show on 2004 and 2005 models. A chance to meet all the main dealers too

Give a short trip some thought

go on go on go on go on !!

See you there

Ed

Good for you Ed, I'm B***dy jealous. I would love to get out there sometime, but I'm always involved with work then.

I've met a few folks who've done great deals there, but pre-posting dealers and asking what deals they are doing for the show etc. could be a 'cunning plan' as Baldrick would say.

As you'll be the 'man on the spot' Ed, how about posting up on the site any deals you see which might interest folks. Interested Hobbyists could maybe come to some 'arrangement' with you and the dealers!!
End of season 2004 models can go for 'silly money' compared to UK prices.

Another 'cunning plan'. Wow 2 in a couple of minutes, I'll go and have a lie-down.
Cheers, Doc.
