I bought my Prestige 540WLU from Joeressen in Rheindahlen.
At the time I had a free Shuttle ticket so I used that outward and bought the caravan back via Norfolkline, Dunkirk- Dover. At the time I paid £90.00 single.
At present Norfolkline have some very good offers, especially if you're not fussy about the time that you travel.
Contact Norfolkline as they are quoting around £50.00 for a single.
I've always insured with the Caravan Club and having been unlucky enough to have had two caravans stolen, they have dealt fairly and quickly with the claims.

If you search this forum you will find lots of tips as to what to take with you when you collect the caravan.

Good luck........go for it!!

buying from germany

thanks for the replies, i found a 500 kmfe which was listed on e-bay about a week ago, the asking price i think is a bit steep considering the current owner purchased the van from germany himself he's asking £9,000 8 months old, in uk the best price given on a new van was £13,000 in germany joeressen just under 14,000,000 euros which is around £9,200, given the time required expensives i think i will purchase the van already in the uk.
can i just say what a great site and i'm very thankfull for the advise given
can't wait to start our new found hobby!
